A Refreshing Evening at FYPL Spring Gala

On May 11th, 150 library lovers gathered at the Grinton I. Will library for our Revive, Refresh, Renew! Spring Gala. The Spring Gala is our biggest event of the year and after two years without an in-person gathering, it did not disappoint! Hors d'oeuvres by Peter Kelley’s Xaviars on the Hudson, music by all-female ensemble SAGE and a surprise performance by Yonkers Poet Laureate Golda Solomon lit up the night.

The Foundation honored past Library Directors Ed Falcone and Susan Thaler, who received awards for their years of service. We also took the opportunity to finally welcome Director Jesse Montero and Deputy Director Shauna Porteus in style. We thank everyone for joining us and supporting our fundraising efforts through sponsorships, ticket sales, and auction bids. The Spring Gala was a magical celebration of the vibrant library we all delight in.
