Mark Silberblatt
Mark was born and raised in New York City and after graduating from law school and clerking for a Federal District Judge in the Eastern District of New York. Mark was engaged for almost 45 years in the private practice of law in New York and New Jersey, concentrating on civil litigation. In 2016 Mark and his wife moved to Yonkers, where they have resided since.

Since moving to Yonkers, Mark has been actively involved in volunteer work. Having been an avid library patron since childhood (most recently, at the Will Branch), he recognized what a contribution a healthy public library can make to the life of a community and its members. Mark started his volunteer work by organizing book sales to support the Friends of the Yonkers Public Library (work in which he remains involved). Mark's involvement with the Foundation for the Yonkers Public Library is an outgrowth and continuation of that work. Mark is also a representative to the Garrett Park Neighborhood Association; a Trustee of the Yonkers Historical Society and most recently its Secretary; and a docent and guide at The Untermyer Gardens.
