Diana Lugo-Martinez

Born and raised in Yonkers, Diana brings 15 years of experience in civic engagement, politics, academia, and leadership development, and is committed to advancing human rights and social justice. Diana currently serves as the Movement Building Director at Forward Together, an organization that unites communities to win rights, recognition and resources for all families. Prior to joining Forward Together, Diana was the Senior Director of Community Engagement Programs at the National Latina Institute for Reproductive Health (NLIRH), where she managed the community mobilization department. Diana is also a board member of SisterReach, a reproductive justice organization in Tennessee.


Diana fondly recalls spending many hours reading and studying at the Yonkers Public Library branch on Main Street. She is excited to help ensure that the library continues to have the resources it needs to serve as a community space that welcomes and serves the full diversity of Yonkers residents. Diana currently resides in Yonkers with her family.
